The project proposal “Revitalized spaces in the world cultural value Nessebar Old Town – Ethnographic Museum” provides for revitalization of spaces in the Ethnographic Museum in Old Nessebar, which is housed in the house of Moskoyani – typical architecture of the Black Sea from the late Renaissance and the creation of a permanent exhibition through innovative means, thus aiming to meet the need to improve the presentation of cultural heritage and promote cultural entrepreneurship in Nessebar – the only Bulgarian city under the protection of UNESCO as part of the world cultural heritage.

Within the project will be carried out current repairs of the building – restoration and repair of doors and windows, repair of roof, floors, walls, installations, in order to make a quality improvement in the exhibition spaces of the museum and expand them by renovating previously unused premises allowing the development of additional services and cultural products. At the same time, specialized equipment and other elements will be delivered, which contributes to the development and attraction of new audiences – introduction of interactive activities, providing greater visibility, two-way interaction between the visitor and the museum through audio, video, virtual reality and other ways.

After the revitalization of the museum spaces, a permanent ethnographic exposition will be created and exhibited in a new way, which through the introduced innovative technologies will attract a new and diverse audience.

In addition to the two main activities listed, the project also provides for thematic training for management and expert staff of the beneficiary in the field of cultural heritage, creation of two permanent jobs for at least the project period, development of an entrepreneurial plan for future development of the museum, ensuring the necessary publicity and visualization of the project, as well as ensuring project management.
