A press conference was held at the Artium Center in Nessebar to present the project “Revitalized Spaces in the World Cultural Value Nessebar Old Town – Ethnographic Museum”, financed under the “Cultural Entrepreneurship, Heritage and Cooperation” Program of the FM of the EEA 2014 – 2021.
The head of the project – Galina Babeva, introduced the participants – representatives of the interested parties and the general public – to the main goals of the project and the planned activities.
After completion of the restoration works on the building – immovable cultural value, specialized equipment and other elements (acoustics and multimedia) will be delivered. A permanent ethnographic exposition will be created and exhibited in a new way, which through the introduced innovative technologies will attract a new and diverse audience.
Accompanying activities to the project are also: conducting thematic training for the management and expert staff of the “Ancient Nessebar” museum in the field of cultural heritage; development of an entrepreneurial plan for the future development of the museum; conducting a scientific-practical conference on “Museology of the 21st century”; providing the necessary publicity and visibility.
The beneficiary of the project is the Municipality of Nessebar, the maximum amount of the grant is BGN 765,861.97, and the deadline for implementation is 04/30/2024.
